Lincolnshire Walking Group
The Lincolnshire Walking group was formed in March 2004. We are one of ten local groups of the Ramblers Association aimed for people from their 20s upwards in Lincolnshire. We hold regular walks and social events across the county. We are a group of people who are keen to enjoy the outdoors, breathe the fresh air and enjoy the countryside around us. Many of us were first introduced to countryside walking through this Group. Our walks range from 6 miles to 14 miles. New starters are welcome (we would recommend you join our shorter walks to build up your stamina first). The other local Ramblers Groups cater more for people later in life offering more regular walks including weekday and evening walks with distances ranging from 2 to 20 miles. Their details can be found here.
Membership of our group (group code LI50) requires that you become a paid up member of the Ramblers charity for walkers. As an added bonus, this means you will be welcome to join any of the hundreds of group walks across the country.
You do not need to join the Ramblers straight away, just turn up, give us a try, and then if you want to join us, speak to one of the group leaders who will usually have an application form close at hand. Its a great way to chill out, keep fit and meet new friends. For more information on how to join please view our Join Us page.
